The U.s.a. national flag, also known as the Stars and Stripes, is the official state symbol of the Usa (forth with the Great Seal and canticle).
It is a rectangular coating with horizontal equal-sized alternating seven red and half-dozen white stripes. The upper left side corner is covered with dark blue colour with l five-pointed white stars o it. 13 bands symbolize 13 British colonies that formed an independent state (Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island). Blue corner symbolizes the Matrimony. The number of stars in the blueish embrace corresponds to the number of states (currently there are 50 states in that location). Red color represents endurance and valor; dark blue ways diligence, justice and vigilance; white is a sign of innocence and purity. The ratio of the width of the flag to its length is 10:xix.
The flag changed over time, depending on the number of states that made up the Marriage. A new star is added to the flag on July 4 subsequently joining the wedlock of the new state. The number of bands remains unchanged; the only exception is the flag of 1795-1818, when two more strips were added together with two stars.
